Airports

Whakatāne Airport: Serviced by Air Chathams with flights to/from Auckland only. The airport is now also serviced by Sunair with flights to/from Hamilton, Gisborne and Napier.​​

Rental Cars: Hertz Only.

Rotorua Airport: 80 km, 1hr 15min to Whakatāne. 

Intercity runs once-daily service between Rotorua Airport and Whakatāne

Tauranga Airport:  85 km, 1hr 15min to Whakatāne
